Manjit Misra, Director of the Seed Science Center at Iowa State University commissioned the development of a six-part documentary film about the wonders of seed to inspire and engage the youth, the public, and the policymakers on the beauty and value of seeds to society.

“The Diversity of Wonder: The Journey into the World of Seeds” was debuted at the Environmental Film Festival, Saturday, March 16th in Washington, D.C. The festival, which began in 1993, presents environmentally themed films to an audience of around 20,000 each March. The film aims to make seed science accessible to a wide audience and inspire a new generation to take an interest, said Manjit Misra, director of the ISU Seed Science Center.

“Seeds are not just the beginning, but the renewal of agriculture, of all civilization. To feed the world, to heal the world, and to fuel the world, we need seeds; seeds of all kinds.”
